Past year was quite fertile for different startup events for me, and I participated in them both from an investor and startup side.
Here’s a quick flashback with my comments & pics, give me a shout if you’d like to know more details!
3-day Hackathon was work intense and designed for entrepreneurs who want to launch their idea during the weekend. It facilitated team creation and helped to choose the right direction for a business model with the help of mentors.
October 31 — November 2, 2013
This was one of the biggest events I’ve been to. As for all of such big events, there were problems with management (such as long queues and time lags), but also it was full of high-level speakers and government representatives.
This conference is really covering all of the major internet & mobile trends in Russia, and is good to have an overview of a particular section. Also, you can discover new services available from lots of service providers.
Organized by Moscow State University (MSU), this event is designed for Business Law students & alumni, however, entrepreneurs who are interested in legal aspects of business, might also find it interesting to participate.
Outdoor internet conference with participants almost from all internet companies in Russia. For me, the idea seemed to combine leisure + lectures.
I’ve participated in Speed Dealing with startups, where you have a small amount of time for pitching.
The tie-free event for more hipster audience had not only internet startups, but also those in urban and creative fields.
Good for investors, especially those who need to improve their deal flow.
Video presentation of nominees are very interactive and help to better understand the teams.
Huge event, covering the latest tech trends. Lots of international participants and very high level of management. Great experience & absolutely recommended if you have a budget for it 🙂
There are also very specific educational & networking events which I attended, so if you’d like to know more about a particular topic you’d probably be interested. Besides them there were lots of events which I attended online, so I didn’t include them in the list.
